Fortis Project Planning Tool is an application that was developed for the largest bank in Belgium, Fortis, and is used in planning the financial resources of projects. The application was developed in Visual Basic for Applications and Microsoft Excel, and allows the realization of operations such as budget planning, expense categorization, forms for budget centralization to be approved by the company or clients, constant evidence of expected budget.
The entire application is developed in an Excel file and modules are presented as Excel sheets. Home page of the application looks like this: Home
For example, in the section Budget Level 4 initial data is entered on the budget, while in section CSL3 (Cost Summary Level 3) costs are calculated automatically depending on your budget and completed in order to Change Request (page that allows modification of the budget depending on customer's feedback).
Thus, each page is linked to the other, and the calculations are done automatically.
